Uganda-Algeria Business Forum and Trade Exhibition Launched
The Uganda-Algeria Business Forum and Trade Exhibition was officially launched in a press briefing at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kampala. The forum is scheduled for 30th September 2023 to 2nd October 2023 at Hotel Africana Kampala. Visit to the Kawumu Tannery factory
The Ministry staff led by the Comissioner BDQA Dr Joshua Mutambi accompanied a COMESA delegation for incredible visit to the Kawumu Tannery, a government owned state-of-the-art leather factory in Kawumu village, Luweero district. Kawumu Tannery was established with the following objectives which include adding value to leather, substituting the importation of leather products into the country and to promote exports of leather products.The craftsmanship and attention to detail of the workers was truly impressive. The Uganda Manufacturers Association held its 28th Uganda International Trade Fair, the first in two years, following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The UMA 28th Uganda International Trade Fair started on 3rd to 10th October 2022 under the theme, “Business recovery by harnessing local sourcing and deepening value chains integration” at UMA Show Grounds.
