On Thursday 31st August 2017, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Hon. Amelia Kyambadde paid a visit to Uganda Fishnet Manufacturers Ltd to ascertain the quality and capacity of the factory to supply fishnets to the Ugandan market. A New York State Judge Frank J. LaBuda has commended Uganda for coming up with a policy on promoting local content, saying this is the way to go if Uganda is to resuscitate her economy. Amelia Kyambadde officially briefed the press together with the leaders of sugar Manufacturers Associations on the increasing sugar Prices and government position on the same.
