Uganda’s minister of trade and industry, Amelia Kyambadde is targeting youth in the NRM Manifesto and National Development Plan, she has said.


The 57-year-old minister made an open appeal for the mentoring of youth – who she said make up the largest population of Uganda – to enhance their participation in economical development of the country.

PHOTO BY PPU President Museveni has discouraged a political integration at the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa) level, saying it is “unrealistic”.

According to the President, it does not make sense for the 19 Comesa members to federate politically.
“At the EAC (East African Community) we are doing the economic integration and then move to a political federation. But for Comesa, it should be economic integration because political federation is unrealistic,” he said.
